I began teaching at Lakeside during the 2022-2023 school year. It was my first full-time call into the teaching ministry. Previously, I served as a pastor at three congregations: St. Luke, Kenosha, Wis., (2005); Faith, Sussex, Wis., (2010); Trinity, Watertown, Wis., (2015). Teaching God's Word to teens has been a focus for me throughout my ministry, and I consider it a privilege and a blessing to teach religion at a fantastic school like Lakeside Lutheran High School.
I grew up in a small farming community called Kendall, Wis. I attended public grade school and high school, graduating from Royall High School in 1996. I attended college at Martin Luther College from 1996-2001, earning a B.A. in pre-seminary studies. I continued my education at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary from 2001-2005. My wife, Jennifer, and I were married in 2001. We have six children, and we live in Watertown. God has graciously blessed us in so many ways!
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy most things in the field of art, animation, and puppetry.
