FFA Myths
1. I have to show at a fair or live on a farm. Not required. Today, only 2% of Americans are producers. Most of us are 3 generations removed from the farm. Similar to 4-H, some members are involved with their families in projects at fairs, but not all. If you want assistance to develop a project, Lakeside connections can help you.
2. It’s all work and no play. Travel, Homecoming fun and parades, Kinderfest petting zoo, pursuing your passions, FFA Week games and competitions, pies in the face, faculty kissing farm animals. Sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it?

At this speaking contest, 20 judges and 15 advisors and adults mentored the contestants who participated in seven areas: Creed Speaking, Discussion Meet, Employment Skills, Extemporaneous Speaking, Parliamentary Procedures, Prepared Speaking, and Quiz Bowl.
