Co-ed Running (Distance) Camp July 8-11

Warrior Running Camp introduces the sport of distance running. Students learn various types of distance training via participation, including endurance, strength and speed training, with special emphasis on proper running form. During rest from running periods, other related topics are discussed, such as proper diet for a runner, injury prevention, the value of strength training, flexibility and running shoes. Camp is $50 for the 4-day session.

Boys Football Camp July 15-18

This non-padded camp is geared to work on the non-contact skills of the game of football: passing, catching, ball handling/carrying, coverage skills, route running and more. Putting these skills to use in 7-on-7 competition will make it a fun camp.
Boys participating in the Lakeside Lutheran Youth Football program are certainly encouraged to attend, but it’s not limited to YFB players. This camp provides a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn more about the great game of football and improve skills. Camp is $50 for the 4-day session.
Boys entering gr 6–8 | 9-11 AM

Girls Volleyball Camp July 22-25

Players in all sessions will be taught the individual fundamentals and team concepts needed to become better players. Each camp is $60 for the 4-day session and includes a t-shirt and volleyball. Co-ed Soccer Camp July 29-31

Because of a conflict with the WELS Youth Rally, the soccer camp date has been changed from the original calendar date. It is now a three-day camp due to WIAA rules for high school helpers.
This co-ed camp improves the fundamental skills necessary to excel in soccer: passing, dribbling, shooting and defense. Attendees are given training tips and drills to practice further on their own. We also put these skills to practice in game situations. This camp is held on Lakeside fields. (Camp moves indoors in rainy weather; plan for indoor shoes.) The camp is $50 for the 3-day session.

Girls age 5 & older are eligible to participate in our Junior Warrior summer softball program. Games are scheduled against other area communities in the recreation-based Windmill Travel League that teaches the participants through fun & effective drills on hitting, pitching & defense to play softball. Practices are set by volunteer coaches.

Games are held by age group at various parks.
• Ages 5-8 play single machine pitch games on Wednesday evenings (typically grades 1-2).
•  7-8 year-olds play single live pitch games in the U8 age group. Rules are modified to suit the younger player.
• Age 9-10 play doubleheaders on Monday evenings (typically grade 3-4).
• Age 11-12 play DHs on Tuesday evenings (typically grade 5-6).
• Age 13-14 play DHs on Thursday evenings (typically grade 7-8).
• Ages over 14 as of 12/31/22 and interested in playing summer ball should email Barb Walters at [email protected]

U8 machine pitch is $65. Registration for all other leagues is $100/player.

Players in live pitch will need their own bat, helmet with face guard, glove and pants. Jerseys are provided. Bag and cleats are recommended. Metal cleats are for the U14 division and older. Each team will have catcher’s gear.

A player's age as of August 31 of the preceding year determines the age in which the player is eligible to play. The youngest player in our program is age 5 as of 8/31/23 and would play in the U8 age group.

  • A parent or guardian may request an exception to age so that their daughter may play on more than one team or play with an older age group by contacting Ken Walters.
  • Exceptions will be reviewed after the deadline when final numbers are determined for each level.

We are using online registration through www.leaguelineup.com/windmillfastpitchsoftball. You can create an account to expedite registration but not necessary. Payment must accompany your registration. Deadline to register is the third Sunday in March.
