Todd Jahns
I was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI and graduated from WLA in 1984. I attended UW-LaCrosse and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Physical Education, History, and Coaching. In 1991 I received my synodical certification from DMLC and earned a Masters Degree in Exercise and Sport Administration from UW-LaCrosse in 1998. In 2023 I received my Certified Athletic Administrator license from the NIAAA.
I began my teaching career in the fall of 1989 with a Provisional Call to teach Grades 5 and 6 at Faith Lutheran in Fond du Lac. In 1990 I taught Physical Education and coached in the Chilton School District. From 1991 - 1993 I taught Physical Education at various grade levels in the Fond du Lac School District. In 1993 I received a Call to Kettle Moraine Lutheran and served as a Physical Education and Health teacher. I taught 24 years at KML before accepting a Call to teach at Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2017. In 2019 I was Called by Lakeside and currently serve as Activities Director, Physical Education instructor, and head boys basketball coach.
In addition to teaching I have coached basketball since 1987. I began as a B team coach at Immanuel in LaCrosse and also served as a JV coach and varsity assistant at WLA. I coached JV basketball at KML for 5 years before taking over as head boys coach in 1999 leading the varsity program for 20 years. I continued as a varsity basketball coach when I came to Lakeside. I have also coached JV2 football, varsity softball, and been a strength and a conditioning coach.
I married my wife Susie in 1989. Together we have two grown children. Our son Zachary is married and he and his wife Brittany and daughter Lilly along with our daughter Katy and her husband Matt comprise our family. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my grandchildren, being active and outdoors, officiating, and traveling with my wife. I’ve completed 4 marathons and 5 triathlons with sights set on more in the future.
