"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5,6
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities. I was blessed with a Christian education beginning at Cross of Christ (Coon Rapids, MN), That education continued at West Lutheran High School (Plymouth, MN), before I arrived at Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN).
While at MLC, I double-majored in secondary education in mathematics and elementary education, graduating in 2011. Lakeside is the third high school where I have served in the ministry. Previously I was at Evergreen Lutheran High School (Tacoma, Washington) for six years and Luther Preparatory School (Watertown, WI) for four years. I began teaching at Lakeside in 2021.
Over the course of my teaching tenure I have had the opportunities to teach AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Biology, World History, and various other math and religion courses. I currently teach Geometry and Precalculus at Lakeside and I will be coaching JV boys baseball along with advising the math team.
My wife Nicole (nee Wendt) and I have been married ten years and have been blessed with a son, Logan, and two daughters Emily and Charlie. We live in Watertown and my children attend TSL. I am an avid Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves fan and enjoy spending time outside with my family, listening to music, and sitting around the campfire.
