The center of it all: TEAM!
* Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12)
* Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)
* Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s gifts. (1 Peter 4:10)
Teams are everywhere in our lives. Our families are teams, our circle of friends is a team of sorts, our school classes are teams, the Lakeside family is a team, our congregations are teams, and in a very real sense, the entire Christian church is a big team.
If we look at all the connections that exist, we will see that we are part of so many teams. All of them need us! We need all of them. God has blessed us to be part of teams. He allows us to work together to fill in our weakness with their strength.
Warrior softball offers us an opportunity to train for a life of Christian service as parts of a team. Warrior softball gives opportunities to push ourselves to grow to help the team. Bottom line: Warrior softball is an opportunity to practice living as part of a Christian team and to be there to help the members carry out God’s will in all of our lives.
