The Lakeside Fine Arts Fair began in 1976 to give young people an opportunity to grow musically with the gifts God has given them.

Fine Arts Fair (also known as FAF) runs across two days each spring. On Saturday, judges critique the performances of musicians in grades 5-8, much like the WSMA competition seen in high school. On Sunday, two identical concerts are held featuring bands and choirs from Lutheran elementary schools. Registration and fees run through grade school band programs and offices.

Typical performances at the annual Fine Arts Fair Saturday judging:
Solos or Ensembles in Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, Piano, String, Vocal
LES Bands and Choirs

Sunday concerts (1:30 & 4 PM) split the grade school choir and bands. During the concert, each choir and band performs its elective performance piece. Combined choirs and bands perform the required performance piece. Each school will only be in one of the two Sunday concerts. Concert time is assigned based on the number of schools and size of bands and choirs each year.
